About the position

The primary role of the Broker Licensing Specialist is to provide support to our growing broker network.  Focus will be the seamless onboarding of new agents, working with industry partners to ensure all requirements of licensing and agent setup are met.  Manage annual license renewals based on each provincial regulatory requirement.  This role also includes agent terminations and collection requirements as needed. 

Your responsibilities

  • Create a consistent and positive experience for our agent network through completion of work being sent to Licensing
  • Responsible for new agent set-up, licensing and terminations including working with industry partners
  • Fulfill all requests and tracking to ensure processes run smoothly and within defined service level agreements
  • Provide monthly tracking that measures volumes, SLAs to senior management
  • Ensure proper due diligence by posting all transactions accurately and timely
  • Support collection activities
  • Effectively communicate bottleneck and pain points encountered in day-to-day work, continuously looking for ways to do things better
  • Appropriately escalate issues, situations, or problems as they arise to Licensing Manager
  • Strong communication skills to efficiently respond to agent inquiries – both written and verbal
  • Act as a trusted partner to build, develop and maintain relationships within our agent network
  • Team player with collaborative skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 1-2 years office / customer service experience preferably in the financial industry
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Business Administration or related field is considered an asset
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent listening and consultative skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated a genuine commitment to consistent, accurate and timely processing in a fast-paced environment
